•  Busy Writer’s Guide series by Marcy Kennedy – Any of the books in this series is well laid out and succinct with no fluff.  Easy to follow with lots of examples to help writers understand the concepts.  Books in the series include:

Showing and Telling in Fiction,  Point of View in Fiction,  Dialogue,              Deep Point of View,  Internal Dialogue,  Grammar for Fiction Writers,  Strong Female Characters,  Description,  Twitter for Authors,                  Fiction Genres  and  How to Write Faster.

•  How to Write Dazzling Dialogue by James Scott Bell.  This is possibly the best book I’ve found for learning how to write dialogue.  It sparkles.  It’s a quick, easy read, and beautifully explained.
